Tips to help with emotional problems and depression:

  • Talk to your doctor.
  • Keep a diary.
  • Maintain regular routines.
  • Do things that relieve stress such as exercise, meditation and relaxation.
  • Avoid too much coffee and too much sugar.
  • Join a support group.
  • Talk about your feelings with family and close friends.
  • Take care of your body, drink plenty of water, eat healthy meals, exercise and get enough sleep.
  • Listen to those around you for clues that you might need to get help.
  • If you are taking medicine for depression make sure you do not skip a dose.
