Most people have mild to moderate flu-like symptoms but these usually decrease after the first few weeks of treatment.
You can try the following to alleviate the symptoms:

Taking Tylenol before you take your injection can help.

Try taking your injection at night; you may be able to sleep through the symptoms.

Drink plenty of water (about 8 glasses a day).

Use extra blankets and clothes when you have the chills.

Use ice or gel pack for fevers, headaches and other aches and pains.

Avoid loud noises, bright lights, alcohol, caffeine and foods with tyramine (such as cheese and chocolate) and phenylalanine (found in artificial sweeteners) this may help with headaches.
