As you progress through treatment, you may need support from a number of sources to address a wide variety of needs”physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, and so on. Knowing whom to call on when you need guidance and even identifying the areas in which you need it can make a difference in your ability to cope with the challenges you might face. Your support team starts with the doctors and nurses involved in your treatment and care, but the makeup of your healthcare team depends on your wants and needs.
Family and friends can provide emotional and practical support, but you need to decide who to talk to about hepatitis C and your treatment, what to tell them, and how they can best help you.
